The PHANTOM treatment in Megève is at the heart of Ski Concept’s environmental approach. We have chosen to use this technology on all of our rental skis to reduce our environmental impact.

An environmental approach in line with Megève

This approach is part of the sustainable tourism initiatives undertaken by the resort of Megève. Megève was awarded the Flocon Vert label in 2020, and renewed it in 2024 with a second snowflake. At our level, we wish to contribute to this approach through concrete choices in our day-to-day activities. The PHANTOM treatment used on our rental skis is part of these commitments. PHANTOM is a unique, permanent treatment that eliminates the need to wax your equipment regularly, as was previously the case. The primary objective is to provide consistent ski performance in all snow temperatures and throughout the entire lifetime of a ski.

The second objective is to eliminate the environmental impact associated with traditional ski wax, as well as the risks to the health of the people who apply it. PHANTOM is free from PFCs and other carcinogenic substances.
